Head Pastry Chef

As a Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of all baked goods and desserts in our high-end restaurant in Muscat. Your creativity and expertise in pastry making will be essential in creating and maintaining the high standards expected from our establishment. You will lead a team of pastry cooks and bakers, ensuring their training, productivity, and quality of work meets our requirements.

• Develop and create new dessert and pastry recipes that align with our restaurant's concept
• Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients to maintain quality and freshness
• Oversee the production of pastries, breads, cakes, and other desserts
• Train and mentor pastry cooks and bakers on proper techniques and procedures
• Monitor food cost to ensure profitability while maintaining high‑quality standards
• Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus
• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen

• Proven experience as a head pastry chef or similar role in a high‑end restaurant setting
• Knowledgeable in various pastry techniques including baking, decorating, chocolate work, etc.
• Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines without compromising quality
• Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment
• Strong understanding of food cost control measures
• Attention to detail and creativity in recipe development
• Fluent in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus)
• Degree or certification from culinary school preferred

We offer a competitive salary of 1600$ per month for this full‑time position. Additional benefits include health insurance, annual leave, staff meals, etc.
