Shrinkage control manager

• Assess current shrinkage control practices and identify key areas of loss
• Train the team in investigation techniques and incident reporting
• Develop and deliver practical training programs for internal staff
• Train Store Operations Inventory Warehouse Receiving POS and Security teams on shrinkage prevention
• Conduct practical on the job training and coaching rather than classroom training alone
• Analyze shrinkage data and identify root causes of stock losses
• Conduct store inspections stock checks process audits and surprise checks
• Develop and improve SOPs checklists and shrinkage control procedures
• Establish appropriate shrinkage KPIs and reporting formats
• Work with management to implement corrective and preventive actions
• Monitor the progress of trained employees and provide ongoing coaching
• Develop internal staff capability so the shrinkage control function can be effectively managed after completion of the contract
• Submit regular progress reports to management including recommendations and measurable results

We are looking for an experienced Shrinkage Control Manager to join our hypermarket business on a 6-month contract basis.
8 to 12+ years of relevant experience in shrinkage control, loss prevention and retail operations.

Strong experience in hypermarkets, supermarkets, department stores or large format retail.

Proven experience in training and developing retail teams.

Strong understanding of inventory shrinkage and retail loss prevention processes.

Practical experience with POS controls, inventory systems, stock counting, receiving, returns, damages, wastage and stock adjustments.

Strong investigation, analytical and problem solving skills.

Ability to identify the root cause of shrinkage and implement practical solutions.

Excellent communication and coaching skills.

Ability to work hands on with frontline employees and management.
