Sales Specialist Position Summary
The Sales Specialist will drive sales and provide customer support for the Company's portfolio of polyacrylamide products (HPAM/PAM and associated chemistries) and surface facilities (polymer preparation, storage, dilution and injection units, and related water treatment equipment) used in Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), conformance control and hydraulic fracturing applications. The role combines commercial development with technical customer engagement: identifying opportunities, preparing offers and tender submissions, supporting clients through product qualification and field deployment, and maintaining long-term relationships with operators, main contractors and service companies across Oman and the wider region.
Key Responsibilities- Promote and sell polyacrylamide products and surface facility solutions for polymer flooding, conformance control and fracking applications to oil and gas operators and contractors.
- Identify, qualify and develop new sales opportunities with PDO, other Omani operators, and regional oil companies and EPC/service contractors.
- Prepare quotations, techno-commercial proposals, and inputs to tender and prequalification submissions, in coordination with the tendering and technical teams.
- Negotiate pricing, terms and supply agreements within delegated authority, and support contract execution through to delivery and payment.
- Maintain the sales pipeline, forecasts and CRM records; report on sales performance, market intelligence and competitor activity.
- Represent the Company at client meetings, technical presentations, exhibitions and industry events (SPE conferences and workshops).
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring timely response to enquiries, complaints and after-sales issues.
- Support clients during product selection, laboratory qualification and field trials of polyacrylamide grades, coordinating with in-house technical experts and the manufacturing partner.
- Coordinate logistics, documentation (MSDS, CoA, datasheets, HSE requirements) and delivery schedules with supply chain and the client's procurement teams.
- Follow up on the performance of supplied products and equipment in the field, gather client feedback, and channel it into product and service improvement.
- Support commissioning, training and troubleshooting activities related to polymer surface facilities together with the operations/engineering team.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sales, business development or technical support of oilfield chemicals and/or oilfield surface equipment.
- Sound understanding of chemical EOR (polymer flooding), conformance control and/or hydraulic fracturing applications, including the role of polyacrylamide-based products.
- Proven track record of preparing offers and closing sales with oil and gas operators; experience selling to PDO and other national/international oil companies is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with tendering processes of Middle East operators (e-sourcing portals, prequalification, ICV requirements) is an advantage.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is a must;
Arabic is preferred. - Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and commercial counterparts.
- Customer-focused, self-driven and able to work independently while coordinating across tendering, technical and supply chain functions.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools; ability to prepare clear techno-commercial documents.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within Oman and the GCC, including field visits to remote oilfield locations.
