We are seeking a dynamic Modern Trade Specialist to join our team in Muscat. As part of our team in Muscat, you'll work in an ONSITE environment, driving growth and development of Modern Trade sales across the Oman market. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your experience in retail sales, key account management, and the local FMCG landscape to build relationships with key retail customers and achieve commercial targets.
Responsibilities- Develop and grow Modern Trade sales across Oman by building and maintaining strong relationships with key retail accounts.
- Drive new product listings, range expansion, promotions, and in-store visibility in hypermarkets, supermarkets, and large retail chains.
- Develop and execute account-wise business plans to meet sales, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, promotions, and visibility with key accounts.
- Monitor sales performance, margins, distribution, and market execution regularly.
- Identify opportunities to increase market share and enable category growth.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure strong execution and excellent customer satisfaction.
- Proven experience in Modern Trade, Key Account Management within FMCG or related industry.
- Experience in fresh/perishable FMCG products.
- Strong track record managing hypermarkets, supermarkets, and/or large retail chains.
- Hands-on experience in negotiating listings, pricing, promotions, visibility, and commercial terms.
- Proven ability to achieve sales, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Strong understanding of the Oman retail/FMCG market and key retail customers.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and business development skills.
- Commercially focused mindset with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Existing relationships with leading hypermarkets and supermarkets in Oman.
- Exposure to fresh chicken, meat, fresh milk, dairy, chilled, or other fresh food categories
- Experience in category development, range expansion, and new product listings.
- Background working with food brands, distributors, or manufacturers.
- Strong understanding of chilled/fresh supply chain and retail execution.
- Opportunity to develop and grow Modern Trade sales across Oman.
- Engage and maintain strong relationships with major retail chains and key accounts.
- Lead new listings, range expansion, impactful promotions, and quality in-store visibility.
- Autonomy to develop and execute creative business plans for category growth.
