Associate Vice President - Air Cargo Operations

Role Overview

The AVP – Cargo Airline Operations will lead the international airline’s cargo operational activities across the network, ensuring efficient cargo handling, regulatory compliance, and optimal utilisation of cargo capacity. The role will work closely with airport authorities, ground handlers, and internal stakeholders to drive operational excellence and support the airline’s cargo growth strategy.

• Oversee end-to-end international airline cargo operations, including import, export, and transhipment cargo.
• Coordinate with airport authorities, ground handling agents, freight forwarders, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, cargo security, and dangerous goods handling standards.
• Optimise cargo capacity utilisation and operational efficiency across the airline network.
• Monitor operational performance, service levels, and turnaround times.
• Drive process improvements and support the implementation of cargo technology systems.
• Lead and develop cargo operations teams across stations.

• 25+ years of experience in international airline or airport cargo operations.
• Strong exposure to international cargo operations and airline networks.
• Experience managing ground handlers, cargo terminals, and global freight partners.
• Strong leadership, operational management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
