What We NeedWe are looking for a Senior Learning and Development Trainer to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team. The Senior Learning & Development (L&D) Trainer position is responsible for developing curriculum and content, scheduling events, and delivering training. Trainings are provided either live or online to support HNI Corporate and Workplace Furnishings leadership and member professional development. The Senior L&D Trainer will be comfortable and effective in front of an audience delivering a wide range of training topics.
WhatYou Will Do
- Facilitate live learning, including training sessions, webinars and onboarding events, to drive and support intended business outcomes
- Apply strong presentation and advanced PowerPoint skills, coupled with application of adult learning principles, to engage, motivate, and inspire learners
- Assist in the development of new training content associated with the introduction of new products and/or services
- Maintain existing training content and develop training curriculum in conjunction with key internal stakeholders
- Facilitate in‑person and online training on professional development topics for internal members
- Maintain a high level of business and industry acumen to ensure learning targets are achieved
- Engage in self‑study to stay current with new training methods, programs and techniques of competitors, and changes in the marketplace while developing skills to enhance teaching and training
- Serve as an ambassador of HNI Workplace Furnishings furniture brands and field sales organizations
- Participate in events and activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Education, or a related field required.
- At least one year of related experience for a Learning and Development Trainer role. Ideal candidate will have previous experience within a learning environment.
- For a Senior Learning & Development Trainer: at least three years of progressive training and content development experience, with demonstrated experience in developing, conducting, and assessing training content.
