Job Description

Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking an HR Coordinator to work at the facility in Muscatine, IA. This role provides administrative support to the Plant Human Resources department and performs duties in employee relations, training, recruiting, and benefits administration. The Coordinator provides day‑to‑day administration and execution of HR policies, programs, and procedures within the factory.

Work Schedule

1st Shift work schedule. Must be able to work overtime when needed.

  • 1st shift – Mon – Fri, 7am – 4pm.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Provide support to the HR team and employees on HR processes including workforce planning, organizational change, and Improvisational process improvement initiatives.
  • Administer employee benefits, including enrollment, changes, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Recruit and select employees, conduct interviews, perform background checks, manage new hire paperwork and orientation, and handle E‑Verify.
  • Maintain all employee and applicant documentation as required by Kraft Heinz policy and governing agencies.
  • Facilitate training including new hire orientation and standard compliance training.
  • Administer min HR processes including onboarding, 30/60/110‑day reviews, I‑9s, and other required processes.
  • Maintain data of all hourly employees in Workday and employee files.
  • Assist in championing employee wellness initiatives and driving activities, education, and awareness.
  • Participate in the QRMP yearly audit and assist in developing procedures and corrective actions.
  • Perform administrative office duties, including meeting preparation and committee facilitation for employee functions.
  • Plan, direct, facilitate, and implement employee training for current employees and new hires.
  • Coordinate and manage employee engagement and communication plans and activities.
  • Assist Hourly Labor Scheduler with maintaining hourly union schedules, vacations, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A degree from college or technical school preferred; or high school diploma/GED and 1–3 years of HR related experience required.
  • Prior experience with an HRIS database preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to handle confidential materials professionally.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team‑oriented fast‑paced environment.
  • Must be able to work independent and in both a fast‑paced office and/or plant setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems.
