B Shift Production Associate

Band: n/a shift: friday-sunday 7pm-7am pay: $19.00 hourly plus $1.50 shift differential paid tier progression for demonstrated knowledge/training verification. this position has no direct management or supervisory responsibilities

production associate (formally packer/handler) assures by visual inspection that all containers and lids are manufactured and packaged according to amcor corporation quality standards and guidelines in a safe and efficient manner.

• required to adhere to all ehs/gmp policies.
• maintain clean, organized work area.
• inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• set aside products that are below quality standards.
• notify leads, process tech and/or supervisor of any quality issues or reject conditions.
• timely response to quality issues is key to this position.
• complete assembly of products by installing gaskets in lids; handles onto containers as directed while keeping up with the production machines cycles.
• stacking/packaging product per instructions that may vary with different customers requirements.
• prepare proper product identification and/or packaging labels.
• assist with material handling and other tasks as needed.
• assist with line clearance and changeover functions.
• manage product flow through various types of automation.
• notify maintenance and supervisor of any automation concerns.
• when the machine experiences downtime in production, the production associate will take this available time to conduct 5s of their respective area.
• perform cleaning duties on cleaning checklist and/or tasks that may be assigned by the production supervisor/process tech lead.
• accurately complete any required paperwork.
• miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor/process tech lead.
