Summer Conservation Aide
There are two full‑time (36‑hr/week) seasonal positions available April or May through September or October. One will be based out of Deep Lakes Park and the other out of Saulsbury Bridge Recreation Area although the work will be performed throughout the county. Duties include mowing and weed eating; cleaning facilities and restrooms; care of native plantings and invasive species removal; painting, maintenance, and light construction;
as well as beach care and working with the canoe shuttle service. 90% of the work will be completed outdoors.
Working some nights, weekends, and holidays will be required.
Must be at least 18 years of age. Prefer a B.S. degree or working toward a degree in conservation, natural resources, parks and recreation, forestry, or a related field. Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Experience in operation of mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws, and small tools is a plus.
Salary: $15.00/hour
