Join our team as an Environmental Specialist – EHS Business Partner at Toyota Material Handling.

We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Environmental Specialist who brings enthusiasm, strong organizational and communication skills, and expertise to the table. In this role you will implement and maintain environmental programs to ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and standards, drive the Toyota Safety & Environmental culture, and collaborate with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals.

• Supports environmental compliance for assigned division and/or departments, implements and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental regulations.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable environmental and hazardous materials transportation regulations and keeps up to date of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
• Accomplishes all required governmental environmental sampling and reporting requirements throughout the year.
• Supports the interface with all federal, state, and local regulatory bodies.
• Is involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental recommendations accordingly.
• Determines waste reduction and recycling opportunities and coordinates waste management program.
• Designs, develops, and implements several environmental multi-media training presentations.
• Assists in the development, management, and maintenance of the company’s environmental management system and supports ISO 14001 certification responsibilities.
• Prepares and conducts emergency preparedness trainings and develops and conducts emergency management exercises.
• Provides support to multiple sites and/or multiple shifts.
• Fosters and encourages an atmosphere of responsibility, safety, and pride.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• 4+ years of EHS experience.
• Knowledge of basic business software programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite.

• Results oriented and strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at any level.
• Professional HSS Certifications are a plus (ASP, CSP, CIH, etc.).
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.

• This is an in-person role located at our Muscatine, IA office—ideal for those who thrive in a hands‑on, team‑oriented environment.

• Salary: $73,840 – $94,670 per year, based on education and experience.
