Maintenance/ Reliability Engineer – Rotating Equipment

We are seeking a Maintenance/ Reliability Engineer to join Genie Matthews & Associates. This role involves overseeing the maintenance and reliability of rotating equipment at a chemical plant site, providing asset maintenance, reliability, and outage guidance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve reliability strategies based on business needs, including inventory management of critical spare parts.
  • Enhance the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program and develop asset care plans.
  • Coordinate plant modifications to improve OEE, yields, equipment reliability, and process quality.
  • Analyze maintenance costs and repair frequencies to identify issues and develop improvement measures.
  • Lead cross-functional teams on Reliability Centered Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis, and Six Sigma projects.
  • Prepare monthly reports on maintenance and reliability activities.
  • Execute and oversee maintenance work orders, ensuring quality and proper documentation in JDE.
  • Lead RCA investigations for reliability incidents, assigning leaders and resources.

    • Qualifications:

    • BS in Engineering with 5+ years of experience in Reliability/Maintenance Engineering in a PSM-regulated chemical plant.
    • Strong knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance, asset care, and rotating equipment such as compressors, pumps, fans, and blowers.
    • Familiarity with industry standards (API, ASME, PIP, etc.) and experience with RCM, RCA, Six Sigma, and CMMS.
    • Ability to work without sponsorship now and in the future.

    Salary: $130,000 – $160,000 per year

    Location: Muscle Shoals, AL
