Title
Die Builder (Trainee)
Reports ToSupervisor
StatusFull Time/Hourly
Job Requirements- Must be mechanically minded
- Must be able to use handheld measuring devices and hand tools.
- Must be able to learn fit and function
- Must be able to follow strict safety procedures
- Must be able to safely use lifting devices (Overhead crane, forklift, etc…)
- Experience in building/fitting aluminum die cast dies or plastic injection molds
- Experience in grinding and manual milling/drilling
- Experience in welding TIG, MIG, and Laser
- Simple print reading- single component and assembly
- LEAN Manufacturing background
- Advanced problem solving skills (Root Cause Analysis, 8D, 5 Why, etc.)
Disassemble and assemble large dies/molds. Hand grind and fit new or repaired components into existing or new dies/molds.
Essential Job Functions- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
- Ability to follow strict guidelines to achieve quality, safety, and profitability
- Use handheld measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc…)
- Use lifting devices (crane, forklift, hoists, etc…)
