Family Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Huntsville Hospital Urgent Care (PRN)

Job Summary: Provide exceptional patient care to families and individuals in a fast‑paced urgent care setting. Diagnose, treat, and educate patients across a wide range of acute and chronic conditions while maintaining the highest standard of care.

• Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care to all patients.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage clinic patients, including urgent, occupational, and primary care.
• Perform procedures such as laceration repairs, nail removal, PAP tests, injections, splinting, and abscess drainage.
• Oversee on‑site laboratory and imaging services when applicable.
• Maintain clinical competency and adhere to medical policy and professional standards.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure compassionate and reassuring care during emergencies.
• Participate in continuing education and practice‑policy development.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Active state license as an APRN or Physician Assistant.
• Current Board Certification (FNP or PA‑C).
• Current DEA license or eligibility to obtain upon hire.
• Current DOT certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Full‑time team members: rotating 36‑40 hours per week (12‑hour weekday shifts, every‑other weekend).
• PRN team members: scheduled as needed per diem.
