Adjunct Pool Medical Terminology/Allied Health Instructor

, an associate degree‑granting institution of higher education, invites applications for the Adjunct Pool Medical Terminology/Allied Health Instructor position. Applications are open until the position is filled. This role is part of our adjunct instructor pool for future part‑time teaching opportunities.
- Teach assigned courses, including day, night, online, and extension center sessions. Classes are to meet on time for the full allotted time.
- Establish and promote an effective learning environment that maximizes documented student learning.
- Prepare, submit, and maintain reports related to student learning.
- Grade assignments in a meaningful way, returning graded work to students in a timely manner and assigning final grades per institutional deadlines.
- Provide educational assistance to students during regularly scheduled office hours or by appointment.
- Encourage student opinion survey completion and review summary information to increase student success.
- Maintain professional knowledge and expertise, including compliance training or hour requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Master’s Degree in discipline or 18 credits in the specific discipline.
- Five years of teaching experience; preference for college‑level experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations representing a wide range of abilities, ages, nationalities, and cultures.
- Experience with instructional technology preferred.
Detailed work; student contact; deadline‑oriented; problem situations; multiple priorities & demands; emergency situations; confidentiality; on‑call availability; continual interruptions; working alone; faculty contact; working with others. Physical demands include sitting, carrying, lifting up to 25 lbs, and speaking in English. Work environment is a normal office environment; ability to travel to all campus locations required.
