Responsibilities
- Teach assigned Anatomy & Physiology courses, including day, night, and online classes at the main campus and extension centers.
- Establish and promote an effective learning environment that maximizes documented student learning.
- Prepare, submit, and maintain reports related to student learning.
- Grading assignments in a meaningful way to promote continued student growth, assigning final grades for all students and meeting institutional deadlines.
- Provide educational assistance to students during regularly scheduled office hours or by appointment.
- Encourage student opinion survey completion for each class to assist with increasing student success.
- Maintain professional knowledge and compliance training or hour requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Biology or a related subject area; 18 graduate hours in biology or related subject area.
- Minimum two years’ professional experience in industry.
- Prefer teaching experience at the college level.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations representing a wide range of abilities, ages, nationalities, and cultures.
- Experience with instructional technology preferred.
Physical & Mental Demands
- Detailed work and student contact; deadline oriented; problem situations; multiple priorities; emergency situations.
- Confidentiality; on‑call availability; continual interruptions; working alone or with others.
- Standing, walking, sitting; carrying up to 25 lbs; bending, twisting, reaching, and speaking in English.
- Normal office environment with minimal heat, dust, or noise; ability to travel to all campus locations.
