Inside Higher Ed is seeking qualified applicants for the Adjunct Psychology Instructor position at Muskegon Community College.

RequiredSkills & Qualifications
- Master's degree in Psychology or related discipline, or 18 credits in the specific discipline.
- Prefer teaching experience at the college level.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations including varied abilities, ages, nationalities, and cultures.
- Experience with instructional technology is preferred.
- Teach assigned courses, which may be day, night, online, or on campus and extension centers. Classes must meet on time for the full allotted time.
- Establish and promote an effective learning environment that maximizes documented student learning.
- Prepare, submit, and maintain reports related to student learning.
- Grade assignments in a meaningful way to promote continued student growth, provide graded assignments to students in a timely manner, and assign final grades for all students, meeting or beating all institutional deadlines.
- Provide educational assistance to students during regularly scheduled and posted office hours or by appointment.
- Encourage student opinion survey completion for each class and review afterward to assist with increasing student success.
- Maintain professional knowledge and expertise, including compliance training or hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Detailed work, student contact, deadline oriented, problem situations, multiple priorities & demands, emergency situations, confidentiality, on-call availability, continued interruptions, working alone, faculty contact, working with others. Physical demands include sitting, carrying, lifting up to 25 lbs, standing, walking.
