Adjunct Psychology Instructor – Fremont

Position Type:
Part‑time.
We are seeking qualified candidates for an Adjunct Psychology Instructor to teach courses at the main campus and extension centers. The position requires the ability to work with diverse populations, facilitate student learning, and support student recruitment, retention and success.
Key Responsibilities- Teach assigned courses, which may include day, night, and online formats.
- Create a learning environment that maximizes student learning.
- Prepare, submit and maintain reports related to student learning.
- Grade assignments in a meaningful way and deliver final grades by institutional deadlines.
- Provide educational assistance during office hours or by appointment.
- Encourage completion of student opinion surveys and use the data to improve instruction.
- Maintain professional knowledge and comply with training requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Master's Degree in Psychology or relevant discipline, or 18 graduate credits in the specific discipline.
- Preferable teaching experience at the college level.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations of varying abilities, ages, nationalities and cultures.
- Experience with instructional technology is preferred.
- Detailed work, student contact, deadline oriented, problem situations, multiple priorities, emergency situations, confidentiality, continuing interruptions, working alone/with others.
- Physical requirements include sitting, carrying, talking/hearing, speaking in English, vision needs, ability to adjust focus, etc.
