As the Health and Safety Leader you will work closely with the location's leadership team, drive EHS initiatives across the site, ensuring compliance, fostering a culture of safety, and protecting both people and the environment. This position requires significant collaboration with local management, business unit leadership, and internal/external stakeholders.

$85,000.00/yr – $/yr

• Coach and guide location leaders to strengthen EHS accountability and performance.
• Partner with leadership to achieve EHS objectives and embed safety into daily operations.
• Develop and execute strategic EHS plans focused on fatality prevention, risk reduction, injury prevention, and environmental compliance.
• Serve as the primary EHS representative to internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the site's EHS professionals.
• Work jointly with the Plant Manager to set strategic direction for EHS programs.
• Act as the plant's EHS subject matter expert, keeping leadership informed of emerging issues.
• Spend time on the plant floor to understand processes, employees, and hazards firsthand.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university: BS in Environmental, Health, or Safety discipline preferred.
• Professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH) preferred.
• Proven ability to lead change and deliver results.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions with incomplete data.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
