Salary Range: $68,000 - $107,000 depending on experience

The OpportunityWe are collaborating with multiple companies in Muskegon seeking experienced Manufacturing Engineers. Key Responsibilities- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
- Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) by defining manufacturing requirements, developing production plans, and ensuring smooth transition from design to production.
- Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing defects, non-conformances, and production issues, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow charts, FMEAs, and control plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, Quality, Production) to resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and implement Lean manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste and improve operational performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience in process optimization, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD) for fixture and tooling design.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
- Experience with root cause analysis and statistical process control (SPC).
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing simulation software (e.g., Arena, Flex Sim).
- Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, SQL) for data analysis or automation.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., IoT, digital twins, AI in manufacturing).
