Medical Assistant (MA) Family Practice – Full Time

Join Saint Joseph Mercy Health System as a Medical Assistant in a collaborative family practice environment. You will provide excellent patient care under the guidance of licensed clinicians while performing a wide range of clinical and administrative duties.

• Room set‑up and patient preparation.
• Take vitals and collect specimens.
• Draw blood and administer injections and immunizations.
• Perform office tests and maintain accurate chart documentation (EMR).
• Check patients in and out, schedule referrals, answer calls, and provide lab results.
• Clean and sterilize equipment and work area.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2+ years of relevant clinical experience.
• Valid Medical Assistant Certification/Registration (CMA, RMA, NRCMA, CCMA, NCMA) or required to obtain within 90 days.
• BCLS/CPR certification.
• Proficiency in medical terminology, basic office skills, and computer use.
• Preferred:
  Graduate of a licensed practical nursing program or 3+ years as a Medical Assistant.

Schedule:

Monday–Thursday 7 am–5 pm;
Friday variable 7 am–4 pm. Full‑time (40 hrs/week).
