Out Patient Therapist I Sexual Abuse Prevention — Catholic Charities West Michigan
Join to apply for the Out Patient Therapist I Sexual Abuse Prevention role at Catholic Charities West Michigan. The purpose of this position is to be responsible for direct provision of therapy, counseling and educational services within the scope of their licensure or certification within the Behavioral Health program. This position provides therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups and represents the Agency in the field.
Responsibilities- Provide direct therapy, counseling and educational services within the scope of licensure or certification in the Behavioral Health program.
- Deliver therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups; represent the Agency in the field.
- Coordinate client services and maintain client records.
- Engage clients in treatment and facilitate referrals to community resources as appropriate.
- Communicate effectively and perform appropriate assessments and recommendations; address issues with a diverse client population.
- Adhere to NASW Code of Ethics and applicable professional standards.
- Possess knowledge of direct counseling, therapeutic services and child welfare programs; work irregular hours as required.
- Signing bonus: $5,000 (split between the first full paycheck and after the 9-month work anniversary).
- Annual wage range: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00.

- Provides counseling, psycho-educational services, screenings and/or psychotherapy and diagnostic assessments per licensure capacity.
- Coordinates client services.
- Maintains client records.
- Participates in mental health and substance use disorders development activities.
- Drives for Agency business.
- Ability to engage clients in treatment; ability to refer to community resources; ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to make appropriate assessments and recommendations; ability to address issues with a diverse client population.
- Ability to abide by NASW Code of Ethics; knowledge of direct counseling, therapeutic services and child welfare programs.
- Bi-lingual;
Spanish-speaking individuals preferred.
- This position requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum of three years experience in therapy or related experience is strongly preferred.
- This position requires State of Michigan certifications or licensure as specified per program.
- Certification as a Sex Offender Treatment Specialist with the Forensic Training Institute is preferred.
- Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) development plan required if providing Substance Use Disorder Services.
