• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable conditions.
• Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods to meet production schedules.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, addressing issues related to quality, delivery, and cost.
• Collaborate with production planning and engineering to forecast material needs and optimize inventory levels.
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or supply reliability.
• Resolve supply chain disruptions, material shortages, and delivery discrepancies efficiently.

• Minimum 3-5 years of direct purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for purchasing functions.
• Demonstrated strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, or Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Solid understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and logistics.

• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes or specific material sciences relevant to the industry.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proven track record in global sourcing and international logistics.
