Job SummaryThe Entry‑Level Supply Chain Representative supports the procurement process by assisting with proactive purchasing, ad‑hoc buying, and sourcing parts to help reduce repair costs. The role provides hands‑on experience in supply chain operations under the guidance of senior supply chain staff, and works closely with leadership to maintain accurate records, support purchasing activities, and contribute to process improvements across the department.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Assist with proactive purchasing based on Monthly Operations Reports (MOP) and stock needs.
- Support ad‑hoc buying to fulfill immediate inventory requirements or repair parts.
- Help the Repairs Team by procuring parts to reduce repair costs and improve operational efficiency.
- Log quotes and purchase orders in AvSight.
- Maintain accurate records of suppliers, quotes, and orders.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Supply Chain Representative, Director, or VP.
- Search databases and suppliers for inventory needed to support daily operations and repair parts.
- Assist in identifying new suppliers or companies with excess inventory; support negotiation efforts under guidance from senior staff.
- Track purchasing discrepancies and help resolve supplier‑related issues.
- Support resolution of open purchase orders and assist with supplier communications.
- Participate in weekly metric reporting and action plans with senior guidance.
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with ASA
100 quality standards.
- Assist with special projects assigned by the Senior Supply Chain Representative, VP, or Director.
- Help implement process improvements and operational initiatives.
- Support data analysis, reporting, and recommendations to leadership.
- Participate in system updates and new procedures within AvSight.
- Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
- 0–2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or administrative support acceptable.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other reporting tools is a plus.
- On‑the‑job training provided for AvSight and internal procurement processes.
- Mentorship from senior Supply Chain Representative staff to develop sourcing, negotiation, and reporting skills.
Salary: $45,000 - $50,000 plus benefits package and 401(k).
