Tool Maker-Weekend Day Shift – GE Aerospace

Join GE Aerospace to manufacture and repair precision aerospace tooling during weekend day shifts. You will use CAD/CAM software, NC WEDM, VMC, knee‑mills, and surface grinders to create fixture and gauge details and assemble functional assemblies within tolerances and forecast costs.

• Using CAD models, manufacture fixture and gauge details and assemble components into completed functional assemblies within allowable tolerances, expected time frame, and forecast costs.
• Make necessary fixture and gauge repairs to keep the job running while producing parts that meet the blueprint.
• Use NC WEDM and VMC machines as well as traditional tool‑making equipment such as knee‑mills and surface grinders to manufacture and repair fixtures and gauges.
• Use CAM and CAD software to create and modify tooling drawings and set up machines.

• Journeyman Apprenticeship Certification.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
• A minimum of 12 months experience building aerospace tooling.
• Must supply own hand tools.

Employee will have a 180‑day period to establish performance in the classification and acquire the necessary tools. If such performance is not established and maintained, the individual will be returned to a previous classification. This role requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information and is contingent upon the applicant being a U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. citizen, or otherwise qualified under U.S. immigration law.
