RN Clinical Supervisor ( Med - Surg ), 1.0 FTE Full Time

The RN Clinical Supervisor is a licensed registered nurse (RN) accountable for leading, managing & advancing people, processes, and/or programs that support direct or indirect patient care. The NL promotes & advocates for patients, nurses/colleagues, and the practice of nursing as defined by clinical area(s) of expertise and assignment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment. Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Valid driver’s license where required by assignment.

What The RN Clinical Supervisor Will Do

  • Frontline, department-based, direct or indirect healthcare department / program.
  • Formally/informally supervises daily &/or house functions of charge nurses, professional & frontline staff (multidisciplinary team) of assigned department.
  • May or may not have direct report relationships.
  • May be accountable for the staff coordination, scheduling & assignment or throughput.
  • May participate in & contribute to performance management / review process.
  • Contributes to daily performance, daily adherence to regulatory requirements & drives results of team within assigned department.
  • Implements departmental plans & priorities identified by accountable nurse leaders.
