Your Role:Clinical Leadership & Resident Advocacy
As the RN, you are the clinical anchor on your unit. You will be responsible for the total well-being of your assigned residents, serving as the critical link between the patient, their family, and the physician.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Direction:
Serve as the Charge Nurse, mentoring and directing the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) staff to ensure the highest standard of daily resident care. - Comprehensive Assessment:
Perform thorough, timely patient evaluations, recognizing subtle changes in condition, and implementing immediate, appropriate interventions. - Care Planning & Execution:
Develop, implement, and direct personalized care goals focused on maximizing resident independence and recovery throughout their stay. - Interdisciplinary
Collaboration:
Actively collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to coordinate holistic, multidisciplinary care strategies that address all resident needs (physical, emotional, and spiritual). - Medication Management:
Safely and accurately administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed. - Safety & Compliance:
Champion patient safety by adhering strictly to all safety, infection control, and environmental standards.
- Current and unrestricted State Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
- Commitment to representing Optalis with integrity and upholding our core values, ensuring complete regard for the dignity of each person.
- Demonstrated strong communication and delegation skills to effectively lead and direct CENA/CNA staff.
- Proficiency with or ability to quickly master Electronic Health Records (EHR) and clinical documentation systems.
- Prior experience (1+ year) in a Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting.
- Proven knowledge and adherence to current Infection Control protocols and best practices.
