Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Des Moines, IA | Acute Care

Contract | Nights | Every Other Weekend / Every Other Holiday | 6-Month Assignment

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients across varying acuity levels
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure timely and effective patient treatment
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, monitoring patient responses

• Active RN license in Iowa or a compact state license
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience

• Experience with high-volume emergency department environments
• Strong triage assessment and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems

• Opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic Emergency Room setting through a 6-month contract engagement
• Consistent night shift schedule with every other weekend and every other holiday expectations
