Job Summary

The Assistant General Manager has accountability for the successful operation, growth and prosperity of an assigned Fazoli’s Restaurant through the execution of People.

Sales.

Profit.

Key Responsibilities
  • People:
    Assist in developing the restaurant team succession and bench strength, utilizing internal development processes and performance management to meet operational standards and financial goals.
  • Sales:
    Build professional business relationships and partnerships within the community, partnering with the General Manager to evaluate and grow sales opportunities.
  • Profit:
    Support the General Manager with all aspects of the business, maximizing profitability through effective management practices, policies, and systems that promote a safe, secure work environment.
Attributes of Success
  • Ability to communicate and recruit effectively, both verbally and in writing, to an array of diverse clients.
  • Basic knowledge of general business and financial principles, including profit and loss statements and budgeting.
  • Strong organizational skills to plan and implement multiple strategies while working independently with the GM.
  • Self‑driven and enthusiastic, with an entrepreneurial spirit that drives team performance to achieve desired results.
  • Basic computer skills.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years of age and must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Experience:

    1 year previous Assistant General Manager experience required. Fast casual/quick service experience preferred. Internal candidates must have 1 year as a successful Fazoli’s Assistant Manager with GM and Area Supervisor recommendation.
  • Training:
    Must successfully complete all required Fazoli’s training and certifications, including SERV Safe.
  • Availability:
    Must work all hours of restaurant operations (11‑8 p.m. and any other meal period when the GM is off) and be flexible to transfer or assist at other Fazoli’s restaurants as business needs arise.
  • Background:
    Must successfully clear routine and periodic background, motor vehicle report, and reference checking processes.
Work Conditions

The job is performed in a restaurant environment with moderate noise. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, bend, and talk, and must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Hazards are those present in a normal restaurant setting or while traveling by car on Company business.
