** Assistant Store Manager
** you are the right-hand to the Store Manager! You'll become well trained to cover all aspects of
** store operations, achieve key performance
** and
** financial objectives**, as well as
** directional
* * and
** performance planning**. Be part of it!  
** Here are some ways you will make an impact:
*** Assists with the management of all aspects of Store operations including customer service, store condition and the selection, training, supervising, and performance management of Store Sales Associates
* Assists in unloading all merchandise from delivery trucks, organizes merchandise, and transfers merchandise from stockroom to store
* Collaborates with team members to ensure the store meets or exceeds the established merchandising standards for product quality, presentation and visual marketing/merchandising
* Keep up with reporting to support sales, earnings, and minimizing shrink
* Assumes full management responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager
** If this sounds like you, make sure you also meet these requirements:**
* ** Two (2) or more years
** of
** grocery
* * or
** retail management experience**    +
** Hands-on
** leadership experience in
** grocery retail (e.g. Produce, Deli/Bakery, or Meat/Seafood departments)
** is
** highly preferred
** but not required.

* Physical Requirements:

** Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs with frequent lifting above shoulder height
* ** Schedule Availability:
** Ability to work flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends and holidays
* You must be
** 18 years of age
** or older
* ** High School Diploma** / Equivalent
* Successfully
** pass our pre-employment checks**, including a
** drug screen
** and
** criminal background check**
* ** Valid driver’s license
** and safe driving record per GFS policy
*
