Customer Service Associate

Join the Family Dollar team as a Customer Service Associate and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer.

• Assist customers with questions and product recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions using the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well‑stocked and handle merchandise recovery.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, ensuring stock replenishment meets productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, disposing of trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills required.
