Data Center Technician ONSITE in Muskogee, OK

Role Overview

What success looks like in this role:

The Data Center Technician is responsible for maintaining the data center IT system, troubleshooting issues, performing server installations, and ensuring uninterrupted network services.

• Installing and configuring data center infrastructure including servers, racks, switches, and other hardware.
• Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues.
• Performing regular maintenance and updates to systems, software, and hardware.
• Ensuring HVAC systems operate efficiently.
• Managing user accounts, permissions, email, anti‑virus, and anti‑spam.
• Maintaining reliable power supply and data backups.
• Assisting with disaster recovery operations.
• Documenting procedures, system and network configuration.
• Complying with and maintaining security standards.
• Communicating status to other IT staff and management.

• Triage issues with direction from Dell Support.
• Execute plans of action from Dell Domain Engineer or Level 3.
• Document POA results, logs, and service reports (parts numbers/PPID).
• Reseat, swap, or replace parts.
• Server testing and validation (diagnostics, log capture, upload).
• Upgrade firmware as needed.
• Manage parts lockers and spare parts during CW server deployments.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• May require technical certification or Associate Degree.
• Generally 2–4+ years of experience in relevant area.
• Eligibility for U.S. export‑control authorizations if required.
