Job Summary
The Multi‑Craft Electro‑Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and systems. This role requires expertise in both mechanical and electrical disciplines, with a strong emphasis on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and other plant equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical wiring, control systems, and mechanical components.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, etc.) and electrical systems (480 V, 3‑phase, controls, PLCs).
- Ability to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and basic computer skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be able to work in a hot, cold, noisy, and dusty industrial environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on‑call as required.
