Arcosa Telecom is currently looking to hire a Fitter/Welder for the plant operation located in Muskogee, OK. In this role, you’ll use jigs/holding fixtures to lay out pieces to be welded according to blueprints, layouts, schematics, or work orders. You’ll then use manual/semi-automatic/automatic welding equipment to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials.

Arcosa Telecom Structures is an AWS and AISC certified fabricator of self-supporting towers, guyed towers, monopoles, tower modification packages and miscellaneous structural tower components.
What you'll do:
Layout and cut complex subassemblies or final productFit and complete final welds and/or multi-pass weldsLayout and mark weld points on parts or subassembliesPosition pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments and hand toolsInspect completed work for conformance to specificationsFollow all safety rules and practicesMaintain and complete all required recordsMay be involved in safety committees or initiativesOther job duties as assignedWhat you'll need:
Minimum of 2 years of welding experience or ability to pass specified weld testsFlux Core experienceMetal Core experienceMIG welding experienceAbility to read blueprints, layouts, schematics, or work ordersThe ability to maintain reliable and predictable good attendanceA high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goalWorking Conditions:Hourly Full-time position;1st Shift Monday - Thursday 4:00AM to 2:30PM2nd Shift Monday - Thursday 2:30PM to 1:00 AMSafety sensitive roleWork environment includes plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areasThis position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays* Hard hats, ear protection, safety glasses, and steel toe shoes required.
