Job Description:

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse I to join our team. In this role, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies. You will work closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Organize and deliver care while considering patient age, cultural background, and psychosocial needs.
• Document all aspects of the nursing process accurately using proper medical terminology.
• Monitor patient progress, address problems, and adjust care plans as needed.
• Facilitate safe discharges with timely referrals and patient education resources.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, healthcare professionals, and support staff.
• Support unit and hospital goals by participating in quality improvement, education, and compliance activities.
• Exercise independent judgment in planning and making decisions in complex clinical settings.
• Provide excellent service in both direct patient care and professional interactions.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a PCU/ICU high-acuity/critical care environment (ER experience not considered).
• Strong knowledge of disease state management, bio-psychosocial models, and clinical pathways.
• Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with ability to interpret clinical and numerical data.

Education:

• ADN or ASN degree in Nursing (required).

Licenses & Certifications:

• BLS certification (required).
