Forensic Accountant

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and investigative Forensic Accountant to join their team in East London. This specialized role focuses on investigating financial irregularities, fraud, and other forms of financial misconduct. You will utilize your accounting expertise and investigative skills to uncover financial discrepancies and provide expert analysis and testimony. • Conduct thorough investigations into alleged financial fraud, white-collar crime, and asset misappropriation.
• Analyze complex financial data, identify patterns, and trace financial transactions.
• Prepare detailed forensic accounting reports, summarizing findings and evidence.
• Assist legal teams in litigation support, providing expert witness testimony when required.
• Develop and implement fraud prevention strategies and internal controls.
• Liaise with law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A relevant professional certification such as CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) is essential.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in forensic accounting, auditing, or investigations.
• Expertise in financial statement analysis, tracing illicit funds, and identifying accounting irregularities.
• Strong understanding of legal principles related to financial investigations and evidence handling.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional report writing and communication abilities, including courtroom presentation.
