Purpose and objectives of the role
To assemble component parts as per work instructions/specifications to a high standard to minimise defects.
Main duties and responsibilities- Hands‑on working within electromechanical assembly, electronics assemblies and sub‑assemblies, box build,
- Basic Soldering
- Read, build and produce products according to specific assembly drawings.
- Follow work instructions within a Quality Management System
- Ensure work is carried out in the relevant order or as directed by the supervisor.
- Maintain required standards in the assembly process whilst ensuring good housekeeping disciplines.
- Reach required completion times as documented in the process routing to achieve department delivery times.
- Maintain and understand Quality, Efficiency and Housekeeping to required company standards.
- Observe Health and Safety regulations in company procedures and government legislation.
- Maintain time and attendance to company standards.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks requested from time to time.
- General housekeeping within the division.
All employees may be required to carry out other tasks as necessary for the business. These tasks will be appropriate to their skills and experience and will not be unreasonable.
QualificationsNo formal qualifications required. Good standard of general education
Skills- Basic soldering skills
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to read and understand Assembly drawings.
- Able to work as a member of a team and assist in the smooth running of the department to meet the required output
- Excellent workmanship and attention to detail
- Self‑disciplined and able to work with the minimum of supervision.
- Good communication skills
- Good computer skills
Experience in manufacturing would be advantageous, but full training will be provided
