. This is a hybrid role based primarily in Muttenz, Switzerland, though Monthey can also be considered.

As Global Environmental Technology Lead, you will shape how Production & Supply identifies, develops and deploys the technologies that reduce environmental impact while protecting operational performance and ourlicenseto operate. This is a high-impact global role for an accomplished scientist or engineer who can move confidently between technical depth, strategic direction and practical implementation. You will connect manufacturing sites, process development, environmental specialists and external partners to turn complex environmental challenges into scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities:

Set the global environmental technology strategy across waste, wastewater, air emissions, vent treatment, recovery and recycling, informed by Best Available Techniques (BAT).

Identify, assess and mature emerging technologies, taking opportunities from laboratory and pilot-scale evidence through to robust manufacturing application.

Partner with global and local manufacturing teams to solve critical environmental challenges, improve site performance and safeguardlicenseto operate.

Provide technical leadership and independent challenge for environmental projects, assessing feasibility, environmental benefit, risk, operability and cost.

Influence product and process choices early by evaluating waste streams, especially wastewater, during active-ingredient process development.

Develop practical, high-value solutions that reduce impacts to air, waterand landacross existing products and manufacturing sites.

Build and lead a connected global environmental technology community spanning Technology & Engineering, Production & Supply, Environmental Managers, process development teams and external experts.

Growinternal capabilities through technical coaching, knowledge exchange, training, literature reviews and partnerships with suppliers,consultants and technology providers.

Translate complex environmental science and regulation into clear choices and decisive action for technical and business stakeholders.

Master’s degree, or equivalent, in Chemistry, Chemical Process Engineering or a related discipline.

Ideally 10+ years’ experience in industrial chemical operations and/or process development.

Demonstrated expertise in environmental technologies and a practical understanding of environmental legislation.

Able to remain focused, resilient and effective in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Strong knowledge of waste, wastewater, emissions, recovery and recycling technologies.

Solid grounding in organic and inorganic chemistry, chemical processes and process engineering; agrochemical production knowledge is an advantage.

Working knowledge of environmental toxicity, chemicalbio-transformation and environmental risk assessment.

Proven ability to lead teams or work streams in project, departmental or matrix environments.

Experience in project and change management, with resilience in ambiguous environments.

Strong analytical, conceptual, organisational and negotiation skills.

Clear communication and stakeholder-influencing skills at all levels.
