We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager who’s ready to elevate their career while making a meaningful impact. This is an exciting opportunity for a licensed CPA with a strong background in public accounting and a passion for client service, leadership, and technical excellence. Ideally you have partnership tax experience and a solid understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Real Estate/Construction experience is a plus but not required.
In this role, you’ll advise clients on the tax implications of their business objectives while acting as the primary client contact for complex tax issues. You’ll also mentor junior staff, contribute to process improvements, and play a key role in shaping the future of our tax practice. This position is available in our Charleston, Florence, Myrtle Beach, or Spartanburg office.
Your Responsibilities- Manage a diverse client portfolio and deliver comprehensive tax services for individuals and businesses with a focus on partnerships.
- Manage project deadlines and plan appropriately with associates and senior associates.
- Coordinate with team members on all phases of the tax engagement.
- Assist with developing, recommending, and implementing efficient and effective methods to maximize client benefits.
- Review individual and business tax returns and provide timely and constructive feedback.
- Keep current on tax law changes and accounting-related developments and best practices.
- Work with team members for continual process improvement.
- Participate in practice development and various firm activities.
- BA/BS in Accounting; MS/MAcc preferred.
- CPA required.
- 5+ years’ experience in public accounting reviewing both individual and business taxation, including partnership tax. Real Estate/Construction experience is a plus but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
