The Staff Accountant will be responsible for overseeing general accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and assisting in special projects. The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing and reviewing cash movement across multiple entities, bank statement reconciliations, and the accounting for servicing on behalf of investors.
** Essential Functions
*** Performs cash tracking for a complex entity structure, on a daily basis.
* Reviews bank reconciliations for accuracy and records adjusting entries as appropriate.
* Prepares servicer reports for stakeholders.
* Assists with external auditor requests.
* Documents procedures as necessary
* Suggests efficiencies for future scalable operation.
* Ad hoc projects as necessary
** Required

Education and Experience
*** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
* 2 years of related accounting experience
* Excellent reasoning and critical thinking skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
** Preferred Qualifications
*** 2 years of public accounting experience
* Certified Public Account (CPA) designation

** While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, visualize, talk, hear, and handle or touch objects or controls. The employee may occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.

This is an office-based position where the employee must be able to sit for extended periods. The role requires working on a computer approximately 90% of the time.
