Team Health and Grand Strand Health are actively seeking an Emergency Medicine physician to join our expanding team in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Emergency Medicine physician role with Team Health and Grand Strand Health in Myrtle Beach, SC.

• Deliver high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population
• Manage and triage patients in the emergency department with efficiency and compassion
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff and residents during night shifts
• Participate in departmental meetings and continuous quality improvement initiatives

• 65k annual visits
• Level I trauma center 40-bed ED
• Up to 10 pediatric beds, can flex up or down with regular ED beds
• 44 hours of MD coverage (flex up to 56 hours during the summer)
• 24 hours of APC coverage (flex up to 34 hours during the summer)
• Meditech EMR
• Board certified/board eligible ABEM or AOBEM
• Independent contractor status
• Located 2 blocks from the beach
• Cases include marine accidents

Grand Strand Health is a multi–facility health system located on the coast of the Grand Strand community and has facilities throughout the Grand Strand to provide quality, convenient healthcare.

Grand Strand Medical Center is a 403-bed acute care hospital serving residents of Horry and surrounding counties. Our hospital offers the only cardiac surgery program, neurosurgery program and pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) in Horry and Georgetown counties and is a designated Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center by South Carolina DHEC. Our hospital is also the only Comprehensive Stroke Center in the service area, certified by DNV-GL.

It is recognized by The Joint Commission for chest pain, knee and hip replacement, sepsis and stroke rehabilitation, and has awards from the American Heart Association for heart attack and stroke care.

• ACGME-accredited residency programs with six residences (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, and a Transitional Program) and two fellowships (Hospice and Palliative Medicine and Endocrinology)
• North Strand ER is a 24–hour ED in North Myrtle Beach
• Carolina Forest ER is a 24-hour ED on Oakheart Road near Hwy 501
• South Strand Medical Center features a 24–hour ED, imaging, lab, wound care, and behavioral health
• The Advanced Wound Center provides treatment for chronic non-healing wounds (hyperbaric)
• The Breast Center offers outpatient diagnostic services including X-ray, CT and ultrasound, with a dedicated women’s center offering digital mammography (including 3D)
• Carolina Forest Imaging Center offers outpatient procedures including CT, MRI/Breast MRI and digital mammography

Located in Myrtle Beach, in the heart of the Grand Strand. The 60-mile coastline is a growing metropolitan area with golf, ocean, shopping, entertainment, live music venues, a symphony, Botanical Garden (Brookgreen Gardens), minor league baseball, water parks, and an international airport.
