- Operate x-ray equipment and produce images to aid providers.
- Help with triaging and rooming patients including taking vitals, reviewing patient history, and summarizing the reason for visit.
- Responsible for center cleanliness and positive customer service.
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures, protect patient and staff from radiation hazards, take x-rays following established procedures, set up and operate equipment, implement infection control, select proper ionizing factors, adjust controls, position patients, process film, check image clarity, distribute x-rays.
- Maintain records including patient records, daily logbooks, and monthly reports; perform quantity and quality control to assure unit meets standards.
- Clean, maintain, and make minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining repairs.
- Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments as needed.
- Call patients to relay physician messages and results.
- Inform provider of abnormal labs/tests.
- Clean exam rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits for infection control.
- Communicate with front staff on patient flow and wait times.
- Recognize patient distress and take appropriate actions.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information per Federal guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 1-year degree in Radiographic technology.
- Current SC license for radiographic technology (Limited Practice Radiographer-General Certification accepted).
- Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
- Trained in OSHA/HIPAA compliance.
- Willing to work 12‑hour shifts and weekends.
- Willing to work at other centers as needed.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to reflect our mission, vision, and values through actions and conduct.
- 2-year degree in Radiographic technology.
- Full practice radiographer certification.
