Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join our growing, client-centered practice. This role is ideal for an attorney who brings both strong legal skill and emotional intelligence to their work — someone who understands that family law is about people, not just cases.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in family law, with additional experience in estate law and probate considered a strong plus.
What You’ll Do- Represent clients in a wide range of family law matters, including divorce and legal separation, child custody, support, and visitation, alimony and property division, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, adoption and stepparent adoption, modifications, enforcement actions, and paternity matters.
- Provide clear, compassionate guidance during consultations and throughout representation.
- Develop and execute thoughtful legal strategies tailored to each client’s goals and family dynamics.
- Advocate for clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver consistent, high-quality client service.
- Bonus:
Assist with or handle matters involving estate planning, estate administration, and probate when applicable.
A South Carolina-licensed attorney in good standing.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience practicing family law.
Experience in estate law and/or probate is a strong plus, but not required.
A confident, empathetic communicator who can explain complex legal issues in plain language.
Highly organized, responsive, and detail-oriented.
