Work Shift: Day - 8 hour shift (United States of America)

Physical Demand: Light‑Medium

Brief Overview: The Oncology Nurse delivers nursing care based on standards of care and professional practice in an outpatient oncology and infusion services setting. They provide safe, effective, and comprehensive infusion services, monitor drug therapy, identify drug‑related problems, coordinate continuum of care, and maintain evidence of oncology training.

• Prioritize and triage patients in clinic and concerned call‑ins by phone. Reporting pertinent information to physician. Document in patient chart and obtained physician signature
• Evaluate, monitor, and document appropriate drug therapy.
• Provide initial and ongoing education regarding disease and treatment options to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Follow processes and policies to ensure safety and quality of infusion

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) Preferred

• Minimum of one (1) year direct nursing service provision in an oncology setting Preferred
• Experience in outpatient Oncology and Infusion RN services Preferred

• Registered Nurse - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Required
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate - Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation within 6-9 months of employment Required
• Oncology Certified Nurse - Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (If hired with no current OCN certification, the employee partner will obtain OCN certification at own expense when eligible or maintain 12 cancer related CEU’s annually from the start date of employment or transfer into the job with Tidelands Health) Preferred
• Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association
