American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring at least 1 year of ED experience and ACLS/PALS certification.
Requirements- Active RN license (SC or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA only)
- TNCC and NIH Stroke Scale certifications preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
- Nursys verification required within 30 days of start
- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- 13-week assignment
- Shifts rotate between 7:00 AM-7:30 PM and 9:00 AM-9:00 PM
- Assess, plan, and provide individualized nursing care based on patient history, observation, and diagnostic data
- Conduct hourly rounds and maintain a compassionate, patient-centered environment
- Care for central lines, foley catheters, pressure ulcers, ventilators, and fall-risk patients using standard protocols
- May serve as charge nurse when assigned, requiring appropriate resuscitative certification
- Precept novice staff and contribute to departmental evidence-based practice initiatives
