Location: Veterinary Clinic of Myrtle Beach, 708 21st Ave. N, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

Compensation

  • Base Pay: $20-$26/hour
  • Urgent Care Differential: +$4.00/hour
  • Schedule:

    4-day workweek with rotating Saturdays (Urgent Care shifts included)

What We’re Looking For

A dedicated Licensed Veterinary Technician who is passionate about patient care and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Requirements
  • Active South Carolina LVT license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Strong clinical skills: patient restraint, phlebotomy, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, dental prophy
  • Proficient in Avimark or similar veterinary software
  • Excellent communication, organization, and client education skills
Clinic Hours & Schedule
  • Mon-Fri: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Saturday:
    • 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (General Practice)
    • 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM (Urgent Care)
  • Sunday:
    Closed
  • Full-Time | Rotating Saturdays Required

Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient care under the supervision of a veterinarian (DVM).
  • Maintain clear and accurate medical, client, and case records using appropriate terminology and grammar.
  • Review medical records, treatment estimates, and discharge instructions with clients, and respond to basic animal care inquiries, escalating medical questions to veterinarians as needed.
  • Guide and support medical support staff to ensure efficient shift operations and workflow.
  • Mentor team members to encourage career growth and personal development.
  • Provide input for 360-degree performance evaluations of employees.
  • Assist with client services including appointment scheduling, payments, check-in, and courteous phone communication.
  • Provide feedback and suggest improvements to training programs; participate in training sessions, job shadows, and working interviews.
  • Perform assigned cleaning, clinic upkeep, and equipment maintenance tasks.
  • Delegate cleaning or other duties during slow periods when a supervisor is unavailable.
  • Identify and address areas needing additional attention within the clinic environment.
  • Answer client inquiries confidently about routine procedures and animal care.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to support patient care and hospital operations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned within the nature and level of work.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
