Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for understanding Orkin’s termite protection services and making strategic recommendations to customers. Performing 360 inspections from attics to crawlspaces, you will solve problems and build trusted relationships, ensuring homes and families are protected.

You will:

  • Prioritize safety in all responsibilities.
  • Conduct yourself with the utmost professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers.
  • Serve as an empathetic problem solver for customers by recommending the innovative overall pest solution best suited to each customer’s needs.
  • Achieve goals through prospecting new business and assigned leads—efficient lead generation is supported by a robust advertising budget.
  • Schedule sales appointments and meet with potential customers in their homes to explain how Orkin’s products and services provide peace of mind.
  • Inspect the interior and exterior of the customer’s home—training will cover all details.
  • Make recommendations based on inspection findings, addressing any questions, explaining the process, and setting expectations.
  • Use the iPad to prepare sales agreements and remain organized; training will cover this tool as well.

Qualifications

What do you need to be successful?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • No experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license/certification if required (company paid).
  • Ability to work independently in the field and interact with clients.
What will my work environment be like?

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform duties with or without accommodations.

  • Safely use a ladder within weight capacity.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include an OSHA‑compliant respirator.
  • Work in various weather conditions.
