Distribution Technician

A Brief Overview

The Distribution Technician position is responsible to receive, stock, inventory and deliver supplies from General Stores to Tidelands Health facilities.

What you will do

* Receive and stocked supplies and equipment shipped to the Distribution Center

* Responsible for routine and STAT supply and equipment requests and distribution to designated areas.

* Responsible for proper Inventory Control of General Stores.

* Accurately record every supply transaction, including verbal (call-ins) or walk-in orders, handwritten or on-line requisitions.

* Must be able to utilize, load and unload distribution vehicles appropriately.

* Perform basic maintenance checks (air in tires, oil levels, etc). Takes vehicle to shop for maintenance as required and on schedule.

* Responsible for obtaining and retaining DOT certification and hospital insurance credibility

Education Qualifications

* High School Diploma Preferred

Experience Qualifications

* Warehouse or Distribution experience Preferred

* Satisfactory references from present and/or previous employers Required

* Record of being able to perform manual labor Required

Skills and Abilities

* Basic personal computer familiarity required.

* Communication and strong interpersonal skills required.

* Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills required.

* Demonstrate ability to safely drive 24-foot box truck per CDL guidelines

* Must have valid driver's license and maintain acceptable driving record as outlined by hospital driver policy
