Position
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Stone Ridge Senior Living Community
Starting Pay: $20.50 per hour (increases with certification years)
Shifts:
24‑hour first shift, 24‑hour second shift, every other weekend first shift.
The Certified Nursing Assistant assists licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living for a 40‑bed skilled nursing facility. Responsibilities include taking and recording vital signs and weights, assisting with dressing, grooming, oral care, answering signal lights promptly, assisting with meal times, etc.
EssentialJob Duties
- Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, exercising, and ambulating.
- Report and record observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, specimens.
- Record residents’ vital signs and weight.
- Report all significant changes in residents’ condition to nurse immediately; document in clinical record in POC.
- Answer signal lights promptly.
- Change bed linens, make beds, keep rooms clean and orderly.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a state‑approved nursing assistant training program; prior geriatric nursing aide experience preferred.
- Registration with State of Connecticut registry required.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English; effectively communicate and perform simple arithmetic.
- Ability to legibly track and document care given to each resident.
- Pass pre‑employment screening: fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test, and employment references.
- Vaccination status may be requested for some roles.
