Project Safety Coordinator (PSC)We are seeking an experienced Project Safety Coordinator (PSC) for a large construction project. This is a dedicated project safety leadership position responsible for overseeing and administering the site safety program and ensuring compliance.
Compensation: $62 an hour, 50+ hours a week
Duration: 24-month project

- Minimum 7 years of experience dedicated to building construction safety
- Minimum 5 years of construction safety management or process management experience
- Certifications:
CHST or CSP and OSHA 500/502 - Strong documented field experience with fall protection, scaffolding, excavation, confined spaces, cranes/ heavy equipment operation, incident investigations, fire protection, lockout/tagout, respiratory protection and electrical hazards
- Experience developing and administering site specific Project Safety Management Plans
- Strong background managing subcontractor safety compliance
- Experience with JHAs and JSAs, safety orientations, employee training, inspections, and safety documentation
- Appropriate OSHA safety training and certifications
- Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
Candidates with a four-year safety-related degree must have at least 3 years of actual field safety experience

The Project Safety Coordinator will oversee the site-specific Project Safety Management Plan, review subcontractor safety documentation before work begins, conduct project safety orientations, monitor safety performance, maintain required records, oversee JHAs, coordinate safety training and inspections, participate in incident investigations, and ensure compliance with Owner and project safety requirements.
The PSC will serve as the project's dedicated safety authority and report directly to the contractor's corporate safety leadership rather than through the project superintendent or project manager organization.
