Emergency Medical Technician - Basic – Full Benefits Package.

• Provide pre-hospital patient care as defined by the Texas Department of Health and the U.S. Department of Transportation for Emergency Medical Technician - Basic. Operate under local medical protocols.
• Staff 9-1-1 Communications Center and take 9-1-1 calls.
• Transmit to and receive information from Emergency Medical Services personnel in the field.
• Operate all emergency vehicles in the Emergency Medical Services Department safely and in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the policies of the Emergency Medical Services Department.
• Maintain acceptable departmental standards of Emergency Medical Services, City and County roadways, traffic laws, use and care of equipment.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to complete the necessary Emergency Medical Services forms and documentation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of preventative maintenance on the emergency vehicles.

• 9-1-1 work schedule with a 24/72 pattern allows for other employment opportunities if desired.
• No Posting - work is primarily limited to Nacogdoches County, with transports outside the County only on occasion.
